Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment module in addition to the visitor’s IP address and the browser user agent string to facilitate spam detection.

An anonymized string created starting from your email address (otherwise said hash) can be supplied to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After the approval of your comment, your profile image is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you load images on the website, you should avoid loading images that include built-in position data (EXIF GPS). Website visitors can download and extract any data to location from images on the website.

With whom we share your data

How long do you store your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This is how we can automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if present), we also store personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (except their username that cannot change). Website administrators can also see and modify this information.

What rights you have on your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive a file exported from the site with the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete all personal data concerning you. This does not include any data we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
