Smart MP, a Smart Solution

In recent times, we hear a lot about “intelligence”: the debate on AI, in fact, on the possibilities, scenarios, and frontiers that this “revolution” promises to achieve, speaks to us of technology and applications.

But let’s take a step back to ask what is meant by “intelligence“: it seems like a simple thing – all of us consider ourselves “intelligent,” right? – and yet… And yet, incredibly, there is still no official and shared definition of intelligence. For some, intelligence is the ability to face and solve problems that arise in certain situations (“doing things,” in short). For others, however, the issue is not only about practical aspects because intelligence involves other dynamics, necessary to understand a phenomenon, the relationships it fosters, the feelings and emotions that are generated and that lead a subject to interact with the surrounding reality in a specific way rather than another.

If this, therefore, is “intelligence,” what AI essentially promises has to do with solutions capable of managing environments and relationships in which we all live in a “proactive” way – another cool term.

Common spaces, in this sense, are no exception, and so, smart systems for managing bathroom facilities represent a technological evolution to optimize the use of resources and costs, while simultaneously improving the well-being of users.

sMAR(t) Plast

Mar Plast is part of this journey through the new Smart MP. Thanks to the use of a sensor placed inside the dispensers, in fact, it is possible to monitor the filling status in real time, allowing interventions at the right time and without the need for random checks.

The Smart MP allows avoiding overloads and waste of materials, with a more conscious use of resources. Simple remote control allows planning replacement and cleaning operations better, and this optimization of resources, avoiding the possible lack of consumable products, contributes to improving the users’ experience, making the premises healthier and safer.

Between Home Automation and IoT

Home automation and the Internet of Things are terms that are often confused. Both, in fact, are technologies designed to facilitate the lives of users, automating processes, allowing remote controls, simplifying the management of systems. But while the goals are the same, the means by which these are pursued are different: home automation is designed as a closed system of interconnected systems, while the Internet of Things (IoT) defines all those technologies capable of collecting data via the internet or from the surrounding environment and processing it to optimize their operation.

To clarify, home automation requires the support of professionals to understand the needs to be met, choose the systems, install them, and connect them to each other, while IoT devices are able to meet specific needs without having to carry out invasive interventions. Our Smart MP moves exactly between these two definitions: the simplicity of installation and use joins a technology capable of improving the environment and the places we frequent every day, for an innovative and sustainable project.

The Smart MP and Much More in Amsterdam

From May 14th to 17th, we will be present at Interclean Amsterdam, the world’s largest fair dedicated to cleaning and hygiene, the main international meeting opportunity for professionals in the sector.

For the occasion, we will bring our Smart MP to the Dutch city along with many other innovations: come visit us at Pavilion 11, Stand 103, we are waiting for you.
